Dr Saya Morton

Clinical Psychologist, BSc, PGCert, PGDip, DClinPsy

My name is Saya, and I am a clinical psychologist with 12 years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults and families in the NHS.

Many things can bring us to therapy - feeling low, anxious, uncertain of ourselves.  We might also notice patterns in our life that don't feel helpful to us, or perhaps our relationships with others don't feel as satisfying or connected as we'd like them to be.

I believe that therapy is first and foremost a relationship, and hopefully one in which we grow to feel seen, understood and valued. Through this relationship we can begin to take risks and develop new understandings of ourselves and others.

I often find psychodynamic ideas helpful in my practice, which makes space for the importance of early life experiences in shaping how we view ourselves, others and the world.  It also makes use of the relationship between therapist and client as a reflection of the relationships outside of the therapy room, providing valuable insight into our ways of navigating our personal and emotional worlds.
